The artist, and the photographer

Adrian Gray has been developing his art for many years. His ability to create compositions of wonder is evident. Witnessing the balancing is mesmerising , magical and awe inspiring. The creative process has a tangible meditative quality and there is an unexplained energy to Adrian Gray's Art.

Adrian is a purist and chooses only those stones that are virginal - free from man-made chips or cuts. These are the first photographs of his art.

The Art

All the stones in these pictures are balanced, strictly without the aid of adhesive, pins or computer manipulation. They remain in place through the natural force of gravity and friction. ‘Nature’s glue’ sustains them in these seemingly impossible positions and it is the capricious natural forces of wind or waves that returns them to obscurity amongst their fellow boulders.

Unless stated in the description on the gallery page, the photos are untouched. Visit the gallery or go directly to the photo store . You may also view a video of this extraordinary living art.
